Arduino Programming for Remote Control Beach Cart
By popular demand, here is the Arduino code I wrote that returns steering to straight after releasing the remote control wheel. I used an Arduino and an IBT-2 motor controller. This cart is a modified power wheels. Watch my other videos to see it in action.

Update on the remote control rc beach cart made from a power wheels ride on toy Dune Racer. For this update I reconfigured the cargo basket and electronics box. The cargo box is easily removable, attached with clevis pins, and the electronics box is also easily removable for storage, maintenance and charging.

Remote control (RC) beach utility vehicle cart. This is the first test drive. Explainer videos coming soon. This version had some stalling issues. I installed a Syren50 motor controller and haven't had any problems.

UPDATE 6/23/2021: SINCE I HAVE STEAMING TV SERVICE I NO LONGER NEED THIS DEVICE. This device is only necessary if you have internet AND TV through Verizon. I saved a bunch of money getting streaming TV. I chose UA-cam.tv, and I only pay Verizon for internet. I did switch to Comcast for a while but an now back with V and use my own router. I used an Mamba Max Pro for this job, although I would probably not use a CC product next time. While the phone support was helpful, there is not enough documentation to get up and running by yourself. Other products provide a USB hookup built in. I used an Arduino to control a common BTS7960 (IBT-2) H-bridge motor controller for the steering servo. I'm using a ServoCity 2", 35lb linear actuator with potentiometer feedback. This is the frame of a stripped-down Dune Racer Power Wheels. I used an Arduino to control a common BTS7960 (IBT-2) H-bridge motor controller for the steering servo. This will go on a Dune Racer Power Wheels, which will be used as a beach cart. This is a Servo City 2", 35lb actuator with potentiometer feedback. the potentiometer is necessary to program the controller to recenter the steering when the wheel is released. This is my backpacking menu for the next several hiking trips. I've dehydrated and sealed several staples including rice, refried beans, ground beef, noodle mixes, potato soup, chili flavoring and ramen noodles. Each package is portioned to one serving. All you need to do is mix them in a pan, add water, boil and let sit in your pot cozy for about 10 minutes.
